Your Use Of God’s Gift

The Biblical philosophy for using God’s gift, whether it be our time, talents, or possessions, is well stated in these two verses.

a. "It is more blessed to give than to receive." Acts 20:35 

b. "Give and it shall be given to you..for with the same measure that you give it shall be given to you again." Luke 6:38

1. In the parable of the talents recorded in Matthew 25:14-30, Jesus taught an important principle about stewardship, or the proper use of what God has given us. On what basis were the two  men judged and rewarded? (Verses 21, 26,30)

Answer: On their Faithfulness

2.  To be  a good steward how, are you to use time and opportunities? (Ephesians 5:15-17)

Answer: We are to be wise

3. What is the most important thing you can give God? (2 Corinthians 8:1-5)

Answer: Self 

4. What is the proper motive in giving to God’s work? (1 Corinthians 13:3)

Answer: Love 

5. How are you to give?

2 Corinthians 9:7 Answer: Give cheerfully.

1 Corinthians 16:1-2 Answer: Systematically
